Programme Content

"Warble, warble, double trouble, birds and builders in a struggle!”

Welcome to Central Island, an island where Central Forest, a lush green bird paradise, meets Central Town, a cosy housing estate!

Take on the role of a Bird or Builder, and join Gnomeo the Forest Gnome, and Billie the Builder, as you set off on a quest to get onto the other side to survive. With nature and humans at a crossroad, will the journey ahead be paved with challenges—or is there a pathway to peaceful coexistence?

Join us on an adventure and discover the impact of deforestation and land fragmentation in this interactive workshop through roleplay and drama games!

About the Artist(s)

Warble, Warble the Wild’s in Trouble! Is a collective comprising Eleanor Ee, a theatre-maker, performer and drama educator, and Michelle Hariff, a theatre-maker and nature educator.

The collective came together with the desire to create works for children that use the imagination of theatre and play to explore themes relating to nature and nature conservation.

Their most recent project was “Warble, Warble, the Wild’s in Trouble!”,  which was staged as part of PLAYlab for Esplanade’s March On festival 2024.
