Created by: Papermoon Puppet Theatre in collaboration with Steph O'Hara, Stan , Myra Loke and Hui Xuan Seong, Produced by The Artground.

The Little Nests is an enchanting and evolving immersive installation experience that invites you to visit some little nests of special creatures,  unravel mysteries in strange new environments where you could unleash your creativity to conjure extraordinary creatures.

Seamlessly blending shadow puppetry, live performance, and otherworldly soundscapes, The Little Nests invites you and your family to explore the innate longing for a safe refuge.

Bringing together a collective of artists from Melbourne (Naarm) Australia, Indonesia's renowned Papermoon Puppet Theatre, and Singapore's arts space for children, The Artground, The Little Nests was developed over the course of three years in collaboration with children from all three countries.

Supported by the National Arts Council, The Little Nests premiered at Artplay at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2023, and was subsequently performed at OzAsia Festival, Adelaide.

“It was really fantastic and both my daughter and I were very impressed with the gentle way of involving the audience. My grandson was totally immersed...actually I was also. It was beautiful.” - Audience Member

“I loved the puppets. The childrens' ability to interact was encouraged in such a lovely way and I'm sure that for most kids it was a significant piece of theatre. I'm aware that this event took a long time to come to fruition. It was memorable. Thanks so much.”  - Audience Member
