Awakening The Senses (Workshop for Adults)
From the masterminds of Oddysea, a multi-sensory performance specially developed for children with special needs, Sensorium Theatre is bringing Awakening The Senses – An Introduction To Multi-Sensory Approaches Sensory Walk Experience Workshop.
This 90min thought provoking workshop will see participants conduct a self-audit on how many senses they are currently engaging with their child/student/audience; and understand what it means to fully engage the senses by experiencing temporary sensory impairment with Sensorium’s Sensory Tool Kit.
The workshop will be conducted by Co-Artistic Director of Sensorium Theatre and Oddysea Michelle Hovane, and their senior producer Rachael Whitworth.
Sensorium Theatre from Perth is the only professional theatre company in Australia who designs and develops productions for young audiences with special needs.
They hope to improve the lives of children with disabilities by sparking their imagination.
Since their founding in 2010, they have enchanted thousands of young people with disabilities with the magic of live theatre.
Sensorium Theatre has performed at multiple venues across Australia, including the Sydney Opera House, and was also featured on Australia’s ABC News Breakfast Show.
