Callout for Performers and Musicians – The Secret of the Waves 2021

ABOUT

The Artground – A Curious Place To Be is managed and nurtured by The Ground Co Limited, a registered arts charity. We aim to provide positive arts experiences across a variety of art forms for children from birth to 9 years old in an accessible space that welcomes children from every community.

We are looking for Singapore-based performers and music composers for an upcoming production in 2021 “The Secret of the Waves” (working title). This performance is created by Dalija Acin Thelander and designed for babies and neuro-diverse young audiences.

The Secret of the Waves” is a durational choreographed installation for youngest audiences with diverse needs, who relate to the world differently. It explores the possibilities of an event-world rather than an object world – something more dynamic and relatively unpredictable. It aims at diverse sensory experiences and a heightened sensitivity towards the immediate physicality of the world by interlacing movement, dance, music, visual art and light design. The instillation/performance aesthetics will propose out of ordinary experience, based on biomimicry and organic forms approach.
