| Chew Shaw En is a dancer, performance maker and socially engaged artist-facilitator. Shaw works from the perspective of the body and her movement practice is rooted in contemporary dance. Shaw’s choreographic practice is influenced by her interests in rehearsal as an opportunity to practice new ways of coexistence. She works with score, task-based devising, scene building and improvisation. Stylistically, in the language of her scenes, she visually draws upon the spectrum of fantasy to the vernacular, rooted in her love of fantasy and world-building, and also her socially engaged work with people and communities.
